Walking and Weights aka "Amber Time"

So, I feel ready to get back into "fitness" and being active. I have to pace myself because doing too much too soon, will just delay the recovery.

While DH was at work last Friday, I created a workout plan for me the following week. I did this to communicate to him that I need to carve out an hour of the day for ME. I think it is important that I take the time to have a break. I definitely agree being a mom is a 24/7 job. If I don't make an effort, I could let it consume me, and lose interest in the activities that make me happy. He agreed, and has been so good the past couple of days in making sure I get out of the house by myself and do something more than shop for groceries.

I am only walking every other day for 30 minutes to an hour, and doing weights or Bodypump on the "other" days. The last time I lifted weights or went to Bodypump was uh, uh, maybe last year? I am a cardio queen, and get bored with the weights even though I know it is good for me. Maybe this is what I need to get into it?

Today is my walking day, and good thing, because the weather is great!

Takeaway message today (when did I get so wise?): Make time for yourself. Read a book. Listen to your Rent Soundtrack. Go for a walk. You deserve it!
